Lillian gave us a tour of the main house and told us about its history. Unfortunately, the air conditioning in our booked room had broken down, so we had to stay in the stables. The room on the ground floor is one of the best we've stayed in in the last 30 years. Despite a massive storm, we received breakfast promptly at 9 a.m. They were very accommodating with the checkout. The wine was excellent. We deeply regret only booking one night at this wonderful place. It's located a bit outside the town.

I thoroughly enjoyed my recent stay at Harwelden Mansion. A lot of care and craftsmanship went into restoring this beautiful Tudor mansion. It’s beautifully furnished with elegant appointments. If you’re looking for a unique place to stay near The Gathering Place and Philbrook museum, I heartily recommend Harwelden Mansion.

We loved everything about this place. Stopped there for the night. The breakfast was amazing. Staff was so nice and accommodating. The rooms were clean and beautiful. There was even a teddy and chocolates in the room waiting for my son.

Harwelden Mansion was the perfect setting for my son’s Welcome Event. The property is stunning—elegant, warm, and full of character—and it created exactly the atmosphere we hoped for as guests arrived for the wedding weekend. Every space felt thoughtfully maintained, and the historic charm made the evening feel truly special. The staff was wonderful to work with as well. They were professional, attentive, and made sure everything ran smoothly from start to finish. Our guests couldn’t stop talking about how beautiful the venue was and what a memorable start it was to the celebration.

We booked a historic tour and could not have enjoyed it more! The Mansion has been lovingly restored to its original splendor, with modern touches of course. The staff was friendly and gracious. We were able to see the rooms, which are spectacular. If you rent a suite, you have access to the entire house, which is quite the perk. Our tour was informative and fun. Fresh flowers throughout the house are a beautiful touch. If you have never toured the Harweldon Mansion, you should do so!!!!

Went to afternoon tea and it was wonderful! They even had hats and fascinators for us to wear during the event! I definitely plan on coming back when I have out of town guests!

I rented the exterior grounds of the mansion for an engagement film I was shooting. I absolutely loved every part of the process – from working with the friendly staff to exploring the beautifully landscaped grounds. The pricing was incredible for the value! And there was someone there (even though our shoot was after hours) to greet me and show me around the property. I am looking forward to shooting there again!

Recently married here and it was a wonderful experience! We had a relatively small wedding which ended up being perfect for an indoor event at the mansion. We're so glad we chose the Harwelden as our venue. It was such a unique and beautiful place to get married! The interior and exterior of the property are equally stunning. Every room has been thoughtfully designed and cared for, and the grounds are gorgeous as well. When we booked our event, rental packages and amenities were clearly laid out for us. Amber was responsive to inquiries and concerns regarding our wedding and was able to re-direct us when our requests didn't line up with Harwelden policies. Tyler made sure everything was set up the way we asked and offered several helpful suggestions. I'm very grateful to have worked with such accommodating and helpful people!

Attended a party at Harwelden it is a beautiful old mansion that has been totally restored. Food was excellent. Service was excellent. I have not stayed overnight here, but the rooms are outstanding. Probably the best you'll find in Tulsa. The location is in a quiet neighborhood and the mansion has a large beautiful garden all around it. However, it is very short uber ride to downtown and all the activities there.

Such a special place to stay! They honor the history of the mansion while providing all the comforts of a luxury hotel. Every event I have attended or hosted here has been phenomenal. Most recently my family enjoyed the princess tea – lovely memories were made.

Preserving Harwelden. Educating Oklahoma’s Future.

Harwelden Society of Tulsa is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving and activating Harwelden Mansion through historic preservation, hospitality education, workforce development, cultural programming, and community engagement.

Through the Harwelden Institute for Hospitality Excellence and its preservation, volunteer, cultural, and educational programs, the Society helps prepare Oklahoma’s future hospitality workforce, support artists and creative professionals, expand cultural tourism, and preserve one of Tulsa’s significant historic landmarks.

Harwelden Society
